Takumi Amane was born and raised in Osaka Japan, her father was a high ranking officer in the United States Navy, while her mother was a scientist in the local university. While she was growing up she would often be found with her friends out on the town enjoying the sights and sounds of the bustling city, or out on the water enjoying the relaxing waves. With parents as passionate about their work as hers, it was no wonder what career path she would be going down. She enjoyed studying the stars and discussing the latest theories with her mother. She also enjoyed listening to her father discuss military tactics when they would be watching some documentary or the latest war film.
After graduating from high school she joined the Federation Space Force Academy, she would spend the next 4 years working her way through the classes, pulling all night study sessions as well as working at the local restaurant to help pay her way. After graduation she was assigned to the Lunar Observatory studying and tracking any objects passing near Earth orbit in order to give ample warning to the defense of the planet. During the later stages of the Unification Wars the station was also used to track any enemy craft which may be heading toward the planet. After the war there were some anomalies discovered in the Sun's radiation which prompted the deployment of 2 more Solar Observatories (SOL-2 and SOL-3), and within the next year Takumi was officially deployed as the Ranking Military Officer in charge of SOL-3.
After the treaties were signed ending the years long Unification War, peace seemed to have finally come to the system. Takumi was able to relax and enjoy her passion of studying the stars and build friendships with those around her. She had developed a very close working relationship with the head of the scientists on SOL-3, Dr Harold Newman. Life was peaceful and the thoughts of wars and battles were the last thing on anyone's mind. Everyone was ready for life to slow down and get back to some sort of normalcy, and it did for a time. That is until the unexpected happened and Takumi and her crew would be fighting to just survive...
